Posting rules
The Careloop community is a public place. Anything published here can be read by anyone, including the families of the people you care for. These rules exist to protect them, and you.
Never post these
Never any information that identifies a person you care for
No names, no initials, no ages paired with a condition, no family details — nothing that could let a reader work out who you mean.
No photographs or recordings taken in a care setting
Not of people, not of rooms, not of paperwork or screens. This applies even if nobody appears in the shot.
No details that identify a care home, ward or address
Talk about the situation, not the place. Leave out the home's name, the ward, the street, and anything else that pins it down.
No medical advice
Share your experience, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Anything clinical belongs with a qualified professional.
Nothing abusive or discriminatory
No harassment, and nothing that targets someone's race, religion, disability, age, sex, gender or sexuality.
What we'd love to see
- Questions about the day-to-day of care work
- What you've learned from a difficult shift
- Practical tips other carers can actually use
- Support and encouragement for people doing the same job
How moderation works
- Your first posts are reviewed before they appear. A Careloop moderator reads them first. Once you've had two posts or replies approved, what you write goes live straight away.
- We keep reading the community after that, and anything that breaks these rules is removed. If something of yours is removed, your posts go back to being reviewed first.
- We may make small edits for clarity or safety before publishing, or ask you to rewrite something.
- If we can't publish your post, we'll email you and tell you why. You're welcome to try again.
- Anyone can report a published post or reply. Reported content is checked again and removed if it breaks these rules.
- Serious or repeated breaches can mean losing access to your Careloop account.
